Stuer-Egghe among the three finalists for East Flanders SME of the Year

It is with tremendous pride that we look back on our place as a finalist for East Flanders SME of the Year 2026.

On 15 October, the winner was announced during the East Flanders Entrepreneur Gala. Although we narrowly missed out on taking home the coveted title, the overwhelming feeling at Stuer-Egghe is one of immense pride.

Being among the three finalists in a province with more than 114,000 SMEs is an exceptional achievement in itself. A recognition we can truly be proud of!

Alongside Tifre from Sint-Niklaas and Lohisse from Buggenhout, we had the honour of competing for this prestigious title. Our congratulations go to Tifre, which was named East Flanders SME of the Year 2026.

Recognition for our entire team

For us, reaching the final means much more than simply receiving a nomination. It is a wonderful recognition of the journey we have made as a company, but above all, of the people who contribute to our success every single day.

At Stuer-Egghe, our employees demonstrate craftsmanship, flexibility and dedication on a daily basis. From our colleagues working in the field and in the workshop to our sales, administration and planning teams, and everyone working behind the scenes: every team member plays an important role in making us the company we are today.

We therefore want to express our sincere gratitude to our entire team for their daily efforts and commitment. We have earned this place in the final together, and it is something we can all be incredibly proud of.

Our customers, suppliers and partners also deserve a heartfelt thank you. Their trust and our many long-standing partnerships enable us to continue growing, investing and innovating.

What is UNIZO?

UNIZO is the organisation representing self-employed entrepreneurs and SMEs in Flanders and Brussels. It represents self-employed professionals, SME business owners and members of the liberal professions, defending their interests at various policy levels. UNIZO also supports entrepreneurs through advice, guidance, training and an extensive business network.

Through the SME of the Year competition, UNIZO aims to encourage entrepreneurship and recognise companies that excel in various areas. An expert jury evaluates candidates based on criteria including financial management, innovation, marketing and communication, digitalisation, human resources, sustainability and entrepreneurial spirit.

No victory, but certainly an achievement to be proud of!

On 15 October, the final decision was announced. Although the top prize did not go to Stuer-Egghe, this does not diminish the value of our place in the final.

In a province with more than 114,000 SMEs, we were selected as one of the three finalists. This is a wonderful recognition of our entrepreneurship, our years of hard work and the journey we have taken together as a company.

We may not have taken first place, but we are proud to be among the very best SMEs in East Flanders. And that is definitely something worth celebrating!

This recognition gives us even more motivation to continue building the future of Stuer-Egghe. With the same passion, determination and commitment, we will keep doing what we do best: growing, innovating and giving our very best every single day.
